This Manager of Corporate Affairs develops and executes initiatives and projects that include: Media Relations, PR, issues & crisis management, digital content management and external events. The successful candidate is an exceptional communicator, seasoned in media relations and issues management and one who excels in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

Major Responsibilities:

Media & Public Relations
Work with Director of Corporate Communications to develop overall communication strategy for Nestlé’s master brand.
Tell the Nestlé story and bring the brand to life externally through various communication channels.
Manage Nestlé’s relationship with PR agencies across all businesses/brands.
Advise businesses/brands on potential proactive PR opportunities as part of marketing planning process.
Continue to build upon existing relationships with key media and influencers to secure positive coverage and proactively identify and activate opportunities for media coverage.
Manage media inquiries and lead Nestlé’s response to media requests.
Prepare spokespeople for media interviews.
Working with an external supplier, lead media monitoring, analysis and reporting.

Issues & Crisis Management

Proactively and reactively, manage issues including: developing communication plans; issues statements; briefing executives and leaders; respond to media inquiries; and advise Consumer Services, Sales management and businesses on existing or potential issues and strategies.
Provide communication support as part of multi-functional crisis team until crisis/issue reaches conclusion.

Social & Digital Media

Manage corporate social & digital media properties including Corporate Website, Facebook & LinkedIn – including strategy, developing content and measurement.
Work with brands as required to provide counsel on social media properties.
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
Assist Director of Nutrition & Public Affairs in developing and executing Nestlé Canada CSR communication strategies to protect and enhance corporate reputation.
Develop and execute communication plan and all content to generate positive awareness of Nestlé’s CSR program.
Internal Communications
Assist Internal Communications team on projects as required.

Qualifications:

University Degree in Communications or Public Relations
Minimum 8 years experience managing corporate communications in a fast-paced business environment, including
minimum 3 years at a managerial level
Issues and crisis management experience essential
Strong leadership, presentation, writing and media relations skills
Experience dealing with high profile media and influencers
PR Agency experience is a plus
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Bilingual (English/French) would be an asset

Mechanic

Major Responsibilities

  • Proactively execute the needs of a 24/7 operation while being able to respond to changing demands with short notice.
  • Use of SAP- AMM.
  • Must show initiative and responsibility to carry out assigned work promptly with minimum supervision
  • Need to have good mechanical / literacy aptitude
  • Must have a good attendance record
  • Overtime may be required including weekend
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
  • Follow all GMP Rules & Regulations and Quality Checks
  • Work according to ISO 14001 Environment and OHSAS 18001 Safety requirements
  • Ensure compliance with the Nestle Quality Management System (NQMS) and quality policy as defined by the 4 C’s.

Qualifications

  • Ontario Millwrights License or served an approved 4 year – 8,000 hour apprenticeship.
  • Can thoroughly understand company policies and procedures.
  • Strong computer skills, with working knowledge of factory systems and SAP highly desired.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and excel at working within a team environment.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and leadership skills, and can deliver results through people.
