Mergers & Acquisitions Analyst

As the Mergers & Acquisitions Analyst, reporting directly into the SVP, Business Development, you will be responsible for supporting and facilitating the purchase or consolidation of a target from inception to close through various M&A transaction activities, including but not limited to: business investment thesis, financial and operational due diligence, financial and synergy modelling.

What you get to do every day

  • As an M&A Analyst, you will work on a variety of transactions in all M&A stages, from initial client pitches, CIM review, financial analysis modelling, due diligence, to transaction closing
  • Analyze industry prospects by gathering information about target, market, competitors, and market share possibilities; researching potential acquisitions to find those that are relevant and financially beneficial
  • Marketing outreach efforts including some cold-calling and email marketing – you will directly communicate with management personnel of potential targets to identify the benefits of a deal and illustrate the terms of a proposed agreement
  • Assist in the later stages of the M&A process as needed, including: drafting letters of intent, conducting due diligence, negotiating final purchase of agreements
  • Provide support in the integration of the target company once the Merger or Acquisition has been executed

HR Administrator

As an HR Administrator, you will act as a first point of contact for HR-related queries as well as coordinating the onboarding process, maintaining employee records and HR documents, and general reporting while working alongside the HR Manager, HRIS and Benefits.

  • Administer employee health and welfare plans for both Canada and the US offices
  • Ensure the effective utilization of benefit and insurance plans as it relates to HR’s programs and wellness services
  • Administer group benefit programs including liaising with benefit providers and employees
  • Maintain and improve KUBRA’s HR processes, including but not limited to benefits administration, reconciliation of benefit statements
  • Prepare reports and analysis on key metric and costs, which include conducting audits of payroll, benefits, and other HR programs and recommending corrective actions
  • Required to provide new hire orientation of key aspects on onboarding as it specifically pertains to benefits (CND/US) and ADP
  • Maintain employee databases, training records, documentation, and organizational charts
  • Answer general HR queries from employees
  • Prepare and disseminate internal and external communication (memos, posters, announcements, articles, etc.)
  • Compile reports and statistical data for period reporting as well as ad hoc reports
  • Committee involvement – active participation in the company committees
  • Travel may be required to our US offices

What skills do you need?

  • You have 1-3 years of HR Administration experience with a focus on benefits administration
  • You’re a pro with Microsoft Suite
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in HR or related field is required

Junior Programmer/Analyst

As a Junior Programmer/Analyst within KUBRA, you will be working on one of our many customer-driven programming Support teams, providing support to our clients while building upon your knowledge of development and interface design utilizing the following technologies / design principles: C#, ASP.NET, VB.NET, SQL Server, HTML5, CSS, RWD, AODA/ADA and JavaScript.

This is an entry level opportunity offering high-potential for growth and advancement into further programming/development roles within KUBRA.

What you get to do every day

    • As a Junior Programmer/Analyst, you will be heavily involved in programming and customer support activities – In doing so, you will provide first response by phone and/or by email to clients upon receipt of case/tickets; investigate, analyse, debug, and rectify simple and minor issues; and follow-up on customer needs, concerns, or inquiries, and handle troubleshooting to ensure requirements are met
    • Implement simple code, application edits, and cosmetic (re)designs within established application functions and procedures, potentially involving rewriting and adding whole new application functions and procedures
  • Analyse, design, implement (Execution of Coding and Form Design), test, communicate and coordinate parallel testing and migration with both Client and QA
