GUEST SERVICES

Reporting to the Manager of Facilities and Existing Assets, the Facilities Coordinator is responsible for Repair and maintenance budgets, contracts, scopes of work and contractors to maintain a pristine environment, with equipment functioning at the highest level across all JOEY Restaurant Group Brands (JOEY, LOCAL, Saltlik).

Manage the upkeep of designated properties to meet health, safety, and technical standards to comply with the local authorities’ jurisdiction. The Facilities Coordinator will maintain trades lists and act as the liaison between all facilities, and external contractors. The Facilities Coordinator is expert on designated JRG properties, assets and their depreciation. This role will function as the key stakeholder in prolonging the life of assets under the JRG brands through effective repair and maintenance strategies.

The Facilities Coordinator pursues utility savings and energy efficiency in both equipment and operations practices. The Facilities Coordinator completes all capital investment projects for their group of restaurants. The Facilities Coordinator acts as a research and development liaison for the design and construction departments, to impact new build and renovation projects with the best detailing and finish selections.

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Preventative Maintenance Programs:

  • Manage the programs to not only comply with the authority having jurisdiction but also to promote longevity and slowed depreciation of the assets of the Joey Restaurant Group.
  • Provide a budget to each operations team in their designated locations for PM spend prior to the budgeting process for the upcoming year (September 1st) Provide dates of service to each operations team and a copy of the PM contract for their reference and planning.
  • Receive and review all reporting for the maintenance programs and review the condition of the assets. Keep an active log of maintenance reports and manage program frequency based on the reporting
  • Review all estimates generated because of the PM programs and provide competitive quotes and direction to operators based on their expertise or the engagement of consultants should the project require it.
  • Reporting submitted to landlords when required

General Responsibilities:

  • The Facilities Coordinator is an expert on all buildings and the maintenance of them, within the JRG regarding but not limited to:
    • Layout
    • Finishes
    • Landlord responsibilities
    • Equipment Spec and Condition
    • Instructions for maintenance
  • Update and keep a database of vendors for all building maintenance projects
  • Trade relationship management, liaison between trades/landlords – trades/operations, estimate reviews
  • Provide direction and reviewed estimates for the upkeep of all buildings within the Joey Restaurant Group. Coordinate the trades, scheduling and completion of R+M projects
  • Landlord coordination and communication
  • Database of all active warranty information

New Builds:

  • Site Visit to learn building and engage contractors for information pertaining to the care of the building
  • Set up new store Service Channel Profile and Dispatch sequence
  • Enter all assets into Service Channel
  • Train the store on their service Channel Platform
