YXH Pre-Board Screening Officer – Medicine Hat
As a screening officer, you are responsible to ensure the security of passengers and non-passengers processed at Pre-Board Screening Checkpoints. Security experience or license NOT required!
Responsibilities:
- You are responsible for screening passengers, non-passengers and their baggage using screening equipment
- You are an ambassador for customer service and interact with passengers and stakeholders alike in a professional manner
- To ensure that the screening of passengers is completed efficiently and pleasantly
- You assist in maintaining the flow of passengers to influence efficiency
- You follow aviation regulations and standard operating procedures at all times
- You report all incidents using established communication channels

Job requirements:
- Must be a Canadian citizen or a Permanent Resident
- No previous criminal background for which a pardon has not been granted
- Over 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- One (1) year of customer service experience
- Available to work and commute day and night shifts, including weekends and statutory holidays
- Physical requirements include but are not limited to standing for long periods of time and lifting/pushing/pulling luggage and other heavy items (up to 22kg).

What you will be doing
- Perform the pickup’s and delivery of values safely and efficiently for each client
- Reload or perform minor repairs on ABM (automated banking machine) from various financial institutions
- Ensure a safe environment for your colleagues and customers
- Follow established routes and schedules closely
- Drive an armored vehicle and respect road safety at all times
- Load and unload the armored vehicle
- Complete the necessary daily reports and paperwork

What we are looking for
- Possess the restricted and non-restricted Federal Firearms License (PAL: Possession and Acquisition licence)
- Own a valid driver’s license (class 5 minimum) with a maximum loss of 6 demerit points
- Capable to lift loads up to 50 pounds on a daily basis
- Available to work on call for day, evenings or weekend shifts with no minimum of hour guaranteed
- Reliable, conscientious, responsible and committed to safe job performance
- Customer service oriented and skillful in managing stressful situations

FT Security Guard- College Campus
What you’ll be doing:
- Interior and exterior patrols
- Access control, security escorts, service call response and report writing
- Property inspections and enforcement of property laws, client rules, and other regulations
- Assist in case of emergency, first aid or any other intervention
- Interact with visitors, customers. and the general public on a consistent basis
- Detect, challenge and displace unwanted people
- Evacuate the building in case of emergency
- Collect information on complaints or events
- Maintain a positive, productive work environment through teamwork
