Clerk III

Reporting to the Revenue Services Team, the incumbent will perform moderately complex clerical and accounting work and customer service escalations, related to but not limited to, the billing and collection of property tax, Empty Homes Tax, utility, alarm permit and bylaw fines payments.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

Examples of work include, but are not limited to: application of payments/ adjustments and reconciliations/audits to sub-ledger accounts; assisting with customer declarations/ applications; moderately complex computations and other accounting related work; processing refunds on accounts, preparing financial and statistical reports; collections of overdue accounts; and responding to a broad range of public inquiries, complaints and escalations in-person, in writing or by phone.

Survey Assistant

The incumbent will assist the Surveyor in manual and technical work in all aspects of conducting varied survey assignments including field and office related duties.

Key Contacts and Reporting Relationships

Reporting to the Technical Supervisor and Engineering Assistant III.

Specific Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assist Surveyor in the surveying of sewers, streets, lanes, parks and others as assigned
  • Prepare field notes, sketches and making computations and calculations as required
  • Operate and maintaining survey equipment such as total stations, survey controllers, auto-levels and basic hand tools
  • Assist in physical work including but not limited to locating survey pins, plugs and monuments, staking, exposing shallow utility covers and markers, clearing weeds, brush and other obstacles
  • Assist in secondary duties including conducting field investigations, filing, and pickup and delivery of equipment or vehicles, supplies and notices

Printer II

The work involves setting up and operating offset presses, bindery equipment, colour plotter and assisting on the digital printers. Performing minor repair and maintenance duties on equipment. Acting, within defined limits, for the Printing Supervisor in the latter’s absence.  The incumbent exercises considerable independence of judgement and action in all technical operations within approved practices and policy.  Reports to the Operations Supervisor for scheduling of related print work that reviews  performance in terms of efficient and accurate operational services provided
