Site Services Operator

Reporting to the services supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible to operate the batch plant and waste management equipment in a safe and efficient manner. This position will be required to understand concrete mixing technology and troubleshoot when equipment is not functioning properly. General labor duties and operating a variety of mobile equipment to maintain the waste management facilities and roads in a safe, sustainable and environmentally effective manner will also be required.
This is a temporary position.
Education and Qualifications
Requirements of the position:
  • Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Minimum of three years of relevant work experience
  • Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
  • Valid Class 2 driver’s license
  • Cement truck operation and concrete delivery experience
  • Experience on loader and skidsteer
  • Ability and willingness to perform manual labour as required for this position
  • Ability to take direction and be a team player
  • Excellent reading, writing and communication skills are essential
  • Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft

Powerhouse Operator

As a Powerhouse Operator at Rabbit Lake, you will be responsible for safe and efficient steam production on site. You will ensure appropriate distribution of steam to meet process and heating demands as well as performing checks and required maintenance on steam production equipment as necessary. As part of the Utilities team, you will be responsible for the operation of diesel emergency power generators and aid in power restoration to site. The Utilities group is also in direct charge of the operation and safe care of the potable water system. Other duties include operational checks on air compressors, HVAC units and assisting with maintenance as needed.
Education and Qualifications

  • Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent
  • A valid Saskatchewan Fourth Class Power Engineering Certificate

Contracts Administrator

Cameco is looking for a motivated, team oriented professional who values integrity, safety and the environment and strives to incorporate those values into their everyday achievements. As a contracts administrator for the Vision in Motion project, you will apply best practices and a framework of processes for administering contracts. Working closely with operation, construction and project management teams, you will administer a variety of contracts, perform proper contract kick-off and close-outs and ensure contractor compliance with technical, commercial terms and conditions throughout the contract. You will verify that contractor charges reflect the agreed upon rate, price and mark-up structures and ensure timely processing of such charges for payment.

You will also provide any required input into monthly project reports regarding the status of assigned contracts against a number of key performance indicators (KPI’s) such as cost, schedule and productivity, while working with the project team in the prevention of claims and disputes as well as leading the process of expeditious resolution of claims and disputes. Additional responsibilities include assisting project teams with interpreting contract terms, providing input into continuous improvement of contract templates and related procedures based on lessons learned during the hands-on administration of Cameco contracts. This is a temporary staff role for approximately 18-months and is located in Port Hope, Ontario.
