Footwear Outfitter

Reporting to the Softlines Department Manager, a Footwear Outfitter will work within a team to create a world class shopping experience by providing legendary customer service and exceptional product knowledge to every customer.

Responsibilities / Requirements:

  • Provide legendary customer service every time by assisting customers in making buying decisions by identifying and evaluating customers’ needs, and making product recommendations based off of this analysis
  • Promote Cabela’s programs, including VOC and In-Store Pick-Up
  • Assure visual presentation standards are met by up-keep and maintenance including, but not limited to, in-store signage, merchandise recovering/front facing, restocking, remerchandising, dusting, and vacuuming sales floor as needed
  • Respond to and handle customer issues by using good judgment and logic in solving problems and making decisions within the job scope
  • Demonstrate a passion for the outdoors by maintaining knowledge of trends and emerging technologies that relate to the outdoor lifestyle
  • Assist in other areas of the store when business needs dictate
  • Ability to go up and down a ladder
  • Able to lift up to 15 lbs.

Qualifications:

  • One or more years’ experience  in a sales or service in footwear environment is preferred

Back Room Department Manager

Reporting to the Back Room Department Manager, the Back Room Lead will assist the manager in ensuring efficient day-to-day operation of the business.  This position is responsible for supporting the manager in developing a cohesive team and ensuring the proper responsibilities of the associates’ duties.  This position supports back room standards and takes ownership of the sales floor presentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the delegation of work, determining the method of work, giving clear and concise direction, and follow up to ensure proper execution
  • Assist in receiving and preparing merchandise for entry into retail or warehouse stock
  • Monitoring inventory flow from back room to sales floor
  • Accurately and effectively stocks merchandise to the sales floor and excess quantities into the back room
  • Sales floor and back room up-keep and maintenance to include, but not limited to, restock, remerchandising, dusting the backroom as needed to ensure visual presentation and back room standards are met
  • Manage stock discrepancies and auditing, vendor ordering, report management, and other inventory needs
  • Assist manger in motivating fellow employees, keeping them engaged and working as a cohesive team
  • Fosters growth and development of retail associates by supporting training initiatives
